Almost $3M invested in Rockingham Co. hemp fiber, CBD extraction facility

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) – A Rockingham County hemp facility is making a giant funding, which may also help native growers and retailers.

Almost $three million will assist Pure Shenandoah in Elkton broaden its CBD extraction and hemp-fiber processing.

Some grant funding from Virginia and Rockingham Co. will help the mission, which can use 100 % of hemp from Virginia farmers and convey two dozen jobs to the Valley.

“CBD is on the drugs facet. Fiber is extra so textile, paper, and garments.
